The Biological and Chemical Countermeasures Program at the Institute for Advanced Technology concentrates on developing human and material resources to counter biological and chemical threats.
Emerging or suspected pathogens and chemical agents are identified using leading edge technology. Through the Countermeasures Program novel counter-agents (antibiotics, antivirals, vaccines) defeat validated biological or chemical agents.
Our collaborative efforts result in the development of advanced health care and medical triage systems for personnel in affected areas. Innovative communication concepts foster effective information sharing and integration of biological and chemical needs.
