The Biological and Chemical Defense Program concentrates on developing human and material resources that will counter Biological/Chemical threats and Bioterrorism.

Electromagnetic Systems

The Electromagnetic Systems Division of the IAT conducts long-term basic and applied electrodynamics research to support the Army and Navy.

Hypervelocity effects

The Hypervelocity Effects Team is concerned with basic issues regarding the response of materials to the intense pressures and loading rates characteristic of hypervelocity impact.
